Pronouns: she/her
Invited By: I am on Dana's plurklist! I was in the game prior, as well, but I'm switching out Stephen Strange for this guy now.

Character Name: V
Character History: Wiki link here!
Canonpoint: Post-game. (This means he'll be detached from Vergil again, which he will not be happy about!)

Guild Choice: Scholar's guild! I think this suits V's personality, who is peak bookish vibes, what with his poetry, and definitely represents (as a character) more brain than brawn.

Element Choice:
1. Dark
2. Light
3. Water

Canon Powers:

  • V's Cane - A unique item he uses in battle that can channel demonic energy, which can defeat substantially weakened enemies in a single strike. His cane can also utilize this demonic energy in unique ways, such as creating copies of the weapon to rain down on enemies, use for teleportation, or absorbing the life force of demons, to name a few things. He can also use this energy to augment the power of his familiars (basically give them a power boost!) if required.

  • Familiars - Mostly, though, V's powers revolve around his three familiars, which are physical manifestations of his past trauma (fun!) that he can summon with demonic energy. As per game rules, he will only have access to Shadow at first, but I will give a succinct description of all three below, regardless.

  • SHADOW - A familiar that often takes the form of a huge black panther, but overall always remains a quadruped beast of some sort. It attacks with its fangs and claws but can also transform into very pointy, very painful items to induce damage, such as blades, sharp needles, and various other weapons. V can also ride Shadow to move around more quickly!

  • GRIFFON - A familiar that takes the form of a large bird. Griffon summons lightning and often strikes from long range, utilizing various electric attacks! He can also lift V into the air if needed. He is the only one that speaks, and he has a very gremlin-like personality of his own. (This will be hashed out with the mods accordingly, of course, if V ever regains him.)

  • NIGHTMARE - A very large, golem-esque summon. Basically V's big guns, when summoned, Nightmare literally crashes onto the scene in a big AoE attack. Once on its feet, it is overwhelmingly strong and tough to damage. It shoots lasers as a long-distance attack, as well. V can ride on its back to avoid enemy attacks while it's summoned.

  • Character Wish(es): To become whole and thus become Vergil. Again. Please he worked so hard the first time.

Character Fear(s): That if he doesn't return, Urizen is just out there in his world going nuts again. On a more personal level, ironically, that he really isn't strong enough to achieve his goals -- whatever they might happen to be at the time.

    Strengths & Weaknesses:

EMPATHETIC - V is the human half of a whole, and he is the same half that Vergil cast out to rid himself of his own perceived weakness. While this is initially obvious by V’s frail state, he represents more than just physical weakness. He is all of Vergil’s empathy, remorse, understanding, and wisdom, made manifest as a single entity now split from his original self. Now literally detached from his ambitions, V is able to view the world with a new perspective, which greatly informs his actions in the game.

INTELLIGENT - What V lacks in brawn, he makes up for in brains. He is bookish, clever, and strategic simply because he has to be. He's pragmatic and not so prideful to not know when to step back from a fight he cannot win. He also retains all his combat and arcane demonic knowledge from his time as Vergil.

ALOOF - Despite all that V represents in the empathy category, he easily gives the first impression of being aloof and unwilling to share much about himself. He isn’t unfriendly, but his initial title in-game is called “The Mysterious One” for a reason. He can be hard to read and harder still to unearth his intentions since he’s rarely a very straightforward individual — sometimes he addresses people in a roundabout manner, sometimes he literally quotes poetry at them. He seems equal parts dramatic and yet paradoxically carries himself with more seriousness than the other main characters.

LEFTOVER REMNANTS OF VERGIL - For good or ill, V still shares certain traits with Vergil that could be considered less than flattering. At his core, he still harbors anger over what was done to him under Mundus' control, and he still possesses a strong desire for power that he has to tamp down. And though not nearly as bad as his "whole" self, V can still show a bit of arrogance towards his enemies, especially if the battle is going in his favor.

PHYSICALLY WEAK - He hits like a wet noodle without the aid of his familiars. This is not a very physically strong boy; in canon, he was literally falling apart, though in the game he will just remain weak and fragile.
